Understanding the Air Force PFA

The Air Force Physical Fitness Assessment evaluates aerobic capacity, muscular strength, and core endurance. Component weights are:

  • Cardio: 60 points (60%)
  • Upper Body: 20 points (20%)
  • Core: 20 points (20%)

Rating Categories

  • Excellent: 90.0 – 100 points
  • Satisfactory: 75.0 – 89.9 points
